You Asked for Pictures

I have been way too busy unpacking to take pictures of the mess. Believe me, you don't want to see what is going on right now. Thank God for my garage, or we wouldn't be able to move in the house. I have WAY TOO MUCH STUFF. It's hard to go from a 2500 square foot house to a 1100 square foot house, and still bring along all the things you acquired over many years, but I am up for the challenge.

I still feel bad that I haven't posted any pictures lately, so here is one.

For those of you who have never met my son Riley, he has these big, blue, beautiful eyes, much like the kitty in this picture. And when we visited the Beltrami Humane Society the other night, and he was cuddling this furball to his chest and they both looked up at me with those big, blue, beautiful eyes and Riley said, "Mom, he's the one." I couldn't say no. I had already promised him he could get his own kitty when we moved into our house. Let's just say it happened a little sooner than I thought.

Raymon (his name until we think of something funner) will become a member of our family next Tuesday afternoon, after the required "procedure" he needs before they will let us have him. Our humane society is wonderful. We got our other two kitties, Spooky and Winnie, brother and sister, from there 11 years ago. When I went in yesterday afternoon to cuddle the little guy for a while, there was a girl inside the cat area going to each cage, taking out each cat individually, and giving it a cuddle of its own. How cool is that?

Every year I make a donation to our humane society to help with their efforts, and if I have some old towels, find a good price on cat food or litter, or see a fun toy I donate that as well. I encourage you to visit them if you are looking for a new pet, right now our Bemidji location is at maximum capacity for cats and could use some loving families to help ease that burden.

Until next Tuesday the only thing I will be hearing is, "I can't wait until Tuesday. Can you leave work early, Mom, so we can go get him right after school? I can't wait until Tuesday."

I can't wait either.

Update: We named him "Lewi". :)
